Barix announces new network intercom

The Barix Annuncicom 200 is a network-based intercom device – an ideal solution for monitoring entrances and providing intercom and alarm functionality in large residential, commercial, public, and military building complexes. including: airports, production facilities, shopping malls, and remote facilities. Using standard IP protocols the device is fully interoperable over LAN and WAN (Internet) connections.

On 1st April 2011 PowerCorp Pty Ltd merged its business into LAN 1 Pty Ltd

Lan 1 is value-added distributor of a range of IP Storage, IP Networking, IP Security and IP CCTV & Access Control products and solutions. All new and existing business operations of PowerCorp, Australian-based distributor of specialist device connectivity and networking products, will be conducted under the Lan 1 name.

As a result of the merger, Managing Director of PowerCorp, Brian Killin, will close the doors of PowerCorp's Hornsby Distribution Centre, and will continue his tenure under Lan 1 at their Head Office in Waterloo, Sydney. Lan 1 will also officially take on and support all of PowerCorp's existing products and vendors including Lantronix, Barix, Perle, GarrettCom and Asentria.

The merger will broaden the base of operations for LAN 1 and provide greater opportunities for PowerCorp's vendor partners.

Headquartered in Waterloo, Sydney, and with branch offices in Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth, Lan 1 provides strong brand name products backed by high levels of service and support. Lan 1 assists with design, configuration and implementation of its complete range of products, enabling Reseller and Integration Partners to offer very effective solutions to their customers.

In addition to time and place distribution, Lan 1 offers flexible support options, training and education on our products. We offer co-marketing support (trade-show support, direct mail, partner road shows, creative services, and marketing collateral – print and electronic) to assist our reseller partners to grow within their respective market segments. Lan 1 has considerable expertise in providing DSL CPE and assisting with staging for the ISP, we are also able to provide virtual warehousing and drop shipping for larger resellers upon request.

Lan 1 is ISO9001 Quality Endorsed and is also on a number of Government Panel Contracts which we extend to our appointed Reseller Partners. Lan 1 combines various Vendor programs tailored for the specific needs of the reseller in order to address its unique customer segments and vertical market specialisations.
